Collection
Information

Over the past three decades, the UTA Libraries' Special Collections
has built a diverse research collection focusing on Texas, Mexico from 1810-1920,
the Mexican American War of 1846-1848, and the cartography of the Texas Coast. The
program area collects materials in virtually all formats and makes them available to
researchers. The holdings of Special Collection can be divided into the following categories:

Print Collections
- Information about the book, journal, newspaper, and broadside collections.
Map Collections
- Information about maps, atlases, and other cartographic items.

Archives
- Information about labor, university, and political archives.

Historical Manuscripts
- Information about personal papers, diaries, family collections, and other manuscript
resources.

Photographs and Graphics
- Information about extensive photographic and graphic holdings.

Spanish Language Collections
- Information about holdings in Spanish, including manuscript and microfilm resources.
