Information and
Services
The Special Collections Division of The University of Texas at Arlington
Libraries (UTA) collects and provides access to historical materials, in all formats,
relating to Texas, the Mexican American War of 1846-1848, the cartographic history of
Texas and the Gulf of Mexico, and Mexico from 1810-1920. The Division's materials are
non-circulating and must be used on site in UTA's Central Library. Book and journal
holdings, historical manuscripts, archives, including the university, political and labor
collections, graphics, and a number of the Spanish language collections are cataloged in
the library's electronic catalog, PULSe.
Other materials, such as maps, and photographs are accessible with in-house finding aids
and card catalogs.

 Ask a Reference Question- You may send your question to the Division or address it to a specific staff member.

- Information on types of reproductions, including
photographic prints, slides,
digital scans, along with policies for patron use of cameras and video recorders. Pages also provide a
list of publication fees, payment information and a Request
Form.

- How to make arrangements to donate papers, books and other materials belonging to your
family, business, or organization.
