Texas Labor Archives
The Texas Labor Archives, serving as the official depository of the Texas AFL-CIO and its affiliates, contains extensive primary records and publications relating to the history of organized labor in Texas and the Southwest. The Labor Archives houses more than 200 collections of individuals and labor organizations, and conducts oral history interviews with men and women who have made significant contributions to the growth of the labor movement in Texas. Selected List of Collections[We will continue to add collections as they are processed. Finding Aids will be added and linked in the near future. Please continue to monitor this page for further information.] Finding aids, inventories, and descriptions are available for many of the Labor Archives collections. All collections, both processed and unprocessed, are listed and described, in the 2000 edition of A Guide to Archives and Manuscripts in the Special Collections Division at The University of Texas at Arlington Libraries. An on-line version of the Guide is available and a loose-leaf paper version of the Guide is available at the Special Collections reference desk. Most of the labor collections are also cataloged and listed in OCLC and the UTA Libraries' electronic public access catalog, PULSe. Current Finding Aids available online:
