About Browsing

Use the "Browse" links to see lists of UTA Concerts tapes that are sorted by tape name, concert performers, concert dates, compositions performed, or the composers of those compositions. Also, you can see a lists of concert tapes for a particular performance year.

Each browse link will give you a web page with all UTA Concerts tapes for that link's particular browsing criteria.

About Searching

You can search the UTA Concerts tapes for specific performers, compositions performed, composers of those compositions, performance dates, tape names, or call numbers. Enter all or part of a word to search for all tapes that have that word or part of a word associated with it.

If you enter more than one word, you will be searching for a tape that has ALL of the words associated with it. "OR" searches cannot be performed.

You don't need "wild card" or "truncation" symbols. For example, if you enter cor to search for composers, you will find Corelli, De Cormier, and Corea.

Searching for Performance Dates

To search for a particular performance date, use the format M/D/YY. For example, use 4/3/90 or 11/1/89 or 11/18/87.

About this Resource

This is a guide to the recordings of concerts performed in the University of Texas at Arlington Department of Music since the 1970s. These performances by UTA music faculty, students, and guest performers include a great variety of classical symphonic, vocal, instrumental and choral music as well as many jazz performances. Some concerts also include compositions by members of the UTA music faculty.

The recordings are archived on audio tape and are available in the Music Lab in the Architecture & Fine Arts Library.
