Statistical Abstract Of The United States.
Washington, DC: US Bureau of the Census.
Published annually since 1878, this has been described as the standard summary of statistics on most social, political, and economic aspects of the US. Divided into subject sections, this brings together much of the most pertinent and most current data in tables, graphs, charts, and maps. Geographically, some tables cover regions, states, metropolitan areas, cities, and outlying areas such as Puerto Rico; some provide comparative international statistics. A detailed subject index in the back is arranged by table numbers rather than page numbers. Has a number of appendices giving source and methodological information. The 1990 edition contains an un-indexed special feature called "Computers in the Office."
