EMPLOYEE RECOGNITION COMMITTEE ANNUAL REPORT 2003/2004

MEMBERS: Linda Depken (chair 08/03-05/04), Sarah Jones, Loretta Barker (chair 5/04-9/04), Mary Castle and Catherine Pica

MEMBERSHIP IN COMING YEAR: Sarah Jones, Linda Depken and Loretta Barker will be going off the committee. A call for nominations will go out in mid-August from LET.

MEETINGS: Usually held once every other month -- month before the staff meeting. At times, did not meet but discussed nominations through email.

THE YEAR IN SUMMATION: The committee screened and recommended awards and forwarded them to Tom Wilding for review. Policy was changed to reflect that bright idea and applause award winners are not automatically nominated for STAR award. An employee recognition task force was formed (2 members for the ERC served on this taskforce) and presented recommendations to LMT in February. LMT accepted the recommendations in April and passed them to the ERC to implement them. ERC is meeting during the summer to look at the implementation of these recommendations.
