Employee Recognition Awards Committee Minutes, February 1, 1994The Awards Committee met at 8:30 in Shirley's office. All members were present and approved the minutes of the previous meeting as written and placed in the minutes directory of the LAN. Two Bright Idea nominations were considered. One was approved. The chair was instructed to obtain more information about the second from the nominator. It was decided to contact the President of the Staff Association about the date for the spring awards reception. When this date is known, the chair will issue a memo to remind staff of the procedures for submitting STAR Award nominations, including possibly a revised deadline for submissions. Gerald suggested that a STAR Awards plaque be purchased to identify those who have received this award. The plaque could be hung in the Central Library's lobby, in the Staff Lounge, in the Parlor, or the Administrative Office. Discussion of wording, cost, and other considerations will be taken up at the March meeting. The meeting adjourned at 9:00. |
