Employee Recognition Committee Minutes, September 23, 1994

Members present: Leveta Hord, Bobbie Johnson, Carleen Dolan, and Shirley Sheets. Absent: Darrell Wyatt.

Shirley brought new members up-to-date on committee assignments.
Assignments for the year were discussed as well as how to continue gathering information regarding criteria for administrative leave for outstanding performance by classified staff and for recognition of outstanding work by teams. Bobbie volunteered to write Newsletter articles about and display statements for Bright Ideas Award recipients. Carleen has a book on awards and agreed to report on any information given on team recognition. Leveta agreed to survey librarians in other state universities about their approach to granting administrative leave for outstanding performance. Shirley will contact the Office of Human Resources for any additional information available on administrative leave since her conversation with John Minor several months ago.

A nomination for the Bright Ideas Award was considered and approved.

The first Wednesday of each month at 2:00 was agreed upon as the date and time for regular meetings in Shirley's office. The October meeting will be on the 19th at 3:00 because of schedule conflicts.
