Employee Recognition Committee

EMPLOYEE RECOGNITION COMMITTEE MINUTES, NOV. 2, 1995

All members present.

We discussed and approved announcing the awards at staff meetings, which are every other month. Assures that a sizeable audience will be present to applaud the awardees, thus being a little more meaningful.

We also approved that a person does not need to be currently employed to be included on a T.E.A.M.S. award since it can be months down the road before a group is nominated or their project completed. It is not stated as such in our criteria, but we wanted our committee's approval on the matter.

Shirley Rodnitzky will discuss with Kit the possibility of premade "frames" for the pictures to be displayed for the various awards. Kit has been too busy this year to complete our exhibit in a timely manner and we would like to do the display case ourselves. Shirley has access to the materials needed. Bobbie can do the written part of the display, email it to me for finishing touches and I can send to Shirley for the proper mounting of the description.

A nomination for an applause award was made. We also discussed a nomination for the administrative leave award. This award, we discovered, needs to be nominated by the department head and sent directly to Tom Wilding, who then makes a recommendation and justification to President Witt's office for the final decision.

Next meeting: Thursday, Dec. 7th, 11:00 a.m. admin. conference rm.

Respectfully submitted: Carleen
