EMPLOYEE RECOGNITION COMMITTEE MEETING March 10, 1998

Attending: Anderson, Carroll, Dessalegn, Jappah, Jones, Blessing

The Spring Reception will be coming up, probably sometime in the week of April 13-17, so we talked about the STAR Award. Carroll will send an e-mail calling for nominations. The deadline for nominations will be March 30th, and we’ll meet on March 31st to discuss the nominations. We’ll ask Carleen for the details of how to handle the monetary part of the award and the plaque, etc.

Discussion was held concerning a nomination for an Applause Award. The nomination was approved unanimously. Blessing will prepare the draft award letter.

Carroll will check on the supply of pins.

Anderson has photos for a new display. Some awardees still need to get photos taken. Anderson will contact them to facilitate arrangements.

The award we’d discussed at the last meeting was tabled again pending more additional information. Blessing will make contacts to get that information.

The meeting adjourned at 11:50 am.
