EMPLOYEE RECOGNITION COMMITTEE MEETING November 9, 1998

Attending: Dessalegn, Howser, Jones, Madison, May
Absent: Blessing

Jones called the meeting to order at 10:35 am.

The Committee had 5 nominations to review.

One Applause nomination remaining from our last meeting was revisited and approved. May will draft that award letter. Two other Applause nominations were approved; Howser and Jones will draft those award letters.

The fourth was a Teams nomination and was discussed at length. The Committee felt it needed more information before voting and Jones will contact the appropriate staff for further input.

A fifth was an Applause award nomination. Jones will contact the nominator for additional input regarding the Employee Recognition Policy statement.

May updated the committee on the photo shoots. She has given the paperwork to last month’s awardees. One recipient has completed the photo shoot and the other has not.

Howser asked if the Employee Recognition Committee has had its parking place on the Q drive re-constituted. Jones responded affirmatively. [Howser has since checked and all previous minutes are present on Q\mis\minutes\comms\emplrec.]

The next meeting will be Dec. 7 at 3 pm in room B-21.
