Recognition Committee Meeting October 18, 2002

Attending: Rachel Robbins, Linda Depken, Anne Mitchell, Tanya Lipscomb, and Loretta Barker

It was decided that Rachel should remain chair of the committee.

We will rotate minute taking duties. The rotation will be done alphabetically with Barker first, then Depken, Jones, Lipscomb, and Mitchell. The chair is exempt.

We will meet at 1 p.m. the second Tuesday of each month, and more often as necessary during the Spring semester because of the annual spring reception.
We will invite the entertainment chair to our March meeting.

Rachel explained the policies and procedures of the Recognition Committee.

We discussed adding the nomination form to the staff website. Sarah volunteered to work on it and make an Excel printable version.

We talked about publicity. Linda volunteered to send out messages, make signs, etc., in order to remind staff to nominate other staff (or themselves) for awards.
