OVERVIEW:
First gather references to information you need.

Databases: UTA subscribes to about 500 databases
Provides literature information from a variety of fields.
Most via UTA Libraries web pages.
About 3/4 include full text articles, links to full text articles,
Catalog: list of full books, full journals library receives.
Where ever UTA Library researcher is, so is UTA library.

Know name of database? alphabetic list;
    Need choices? subject category.

Do not restrict yourself to full text databases. Reference might be in one database and article available in another.

 

1.LOCATING:
If it is found full text & you want it, you have it.
 
2.Check UTA Libraries' list of electronic journals, by title of journal, follow link to locate article, display &/or print it (http://library.uta.edu/JDBC/ej/ej.jsp)
3.Check Library Catalog to see if UTA Libraries has journal, then locate &/or photocopy article (http://pulse.uta.edu)

1.OBTAINING IF IT IS NOT AT UT ARLINGTON:
Don’t mind driving to a nearby library?

check WorldCat  ( http://www.worldcat.org)
to see if journal is available elsewhere.
You may need to call other library to see if particular issue is there. (Texshare)

 

2.Have some time? Fill out an Interlibrary Loan request
&  UTA library gets the article for you (

3.Check the World Wide Web and hope you find the articles.
