Referencing common PDF from a database typically required only [Electronic version] notation.
SEE the APA manual for complete information;
www.apastyle.org for overview.

If there is only a Click here for more information link, click on that link

The Click here for more information link will open a new window and offer retrieval options @ UT Arlington
may lead direct to article; the library catalog; or interlibrary loan request

What if I'm not in a database but have a citation?

Might have it, might not

Example:

  • Colley, A., Todd, Z., Bland, M., Holmes, M., Khanom, N., & Pike, H. (2004). Style and content in e-mails and letters to male and female friends.   Journal of Language and Social Psychology, 23(3), 369-378.

1. Check e-journal list by JOURNAL TITLE (only if article)
 If the title and year is there, find the article and print it.
I
f the title or year is not available then go to 2

2. Check catalog by JOURNAL TITLE or BOOK Author/TItle
(If the title and year is there and electronic, find the article and print it;
if the title and year is there and indicates it is a print copy, go to the library and photocopy the article or check out the book.
If the title or year is not available then go to 3.

3. Decide if there is time for Interlibrary Loan
If you have enough time (up to 2 weeks) fill out a form and it will be delivered to you.
If not 1, 2, or 3, go to 4.

4. Decide if a trip to another library is reasonable
Use WorldCat.org to identify local libraries, make sure you have your TexShare Card and some money, drive to one of the identified libraries, and photocopy the article or maybe check out the book.
If not 1, 2, 3, or 4, choose a different article.
