To get to UT Arlington course reserves: Get on the World Wide Web and go to the UTA Libraries Homepage (www.uta.edu/library) Under the column labeled Services, Click on the word Reserves. |

A COURSE RESERVE search screen appears. You can search for your reserve items by: Open a pull down menu by click on the little arrow at the end of the line. Select a menu item by clicking on it once the menu appears. You DO NOT have to fill in all the boxes. You will be returned to the search page with the search bar filled in. Click on Search button. |

A description page appears, providing information about the item you have selected. PLEASE NOTE: In most cases you will need Adobe Acrobat Reader to view the item. If you do not already have it on your machine you will need to download it. It is free and available at: www.adobe.com If you want to retrieve this item, click on the information following the words E-Items: |

A password request page appears. Enter the password provided by your instructor. The password is case sensitive. Uppercase letters must be typed in uppercase, numbers as numbers. You will not see the password as you type it. If you are told that the password is incorrect, check to see if your caps lock and num lock keys are depressed. If all goes well, the next page should be the beginning of the item your instructor placed on reserve, beginning with the copyright notice.
