1. Review of Public Service Task Force Meeting: The group was informed of the progress made at the Public Service Task Force meeting of 2/6/01. It was decided that the Public Service Task Force should proceed by omitting any discussion of branch involvement in the transition model. The task force spent a considerable amount of time discussing the role of subject specialty within the new organizational structure.

Tom shared his thoughts concerning a possible model for constructing service centers within the organization that would support account representatives/liaisons within the new organization.

2. Unit Plan: Lisa Smith briefly outlined the library’s involvement in the University Unit Plan construction. Coordinators will meet with Lisa individually to contribute one goal to the unit plan document. This achievement of this goal will be assessed during the upcoming year.

3. 21^st Century Library Vision Statement: A document containing Tom’s vision of the 21^st century library was distributed. Members discussed how this could be incorporated into the strategic plan and disseminated to staff. Tom will review the document and notify the group concerning how the document will be distributed to staff.

4. Status of Existing Committee Structure: The group discussed when the existing committee structure should be reviewed or altered. It was agreed that this item should tabled and added to the Transition Team Retreat Agenda for discussion on 2/27/01.
