Since Chair Diane Neal planned to give a presentation during the meeting, she asked Past Chair Antoinette Nelson to preside over the meeting due to the absence of Chair Elect Josh Been. Professional Development Committee Chair Jason Neal also took minutes in Been's place. The meeting was called to order at 2:10 P.M.

 Program

Brad Gulliford and Diane Neal highlighted some presentations they attended at the American Society for Information Science and Technology (ASIST) annual conference, which was held in Providence, RI, from 12-17 November 2004. This facilitated some discussion and questions on a variety of related topics, including blogs and wikis. Neal also gave a presentation she used to introduce the ASIST session "Information Visualization: Highlights, Histories, and Futures." She showed a variety of images, and encouraged people to guess what they represented before explaining what they really were.
