There were no committee updates

 

Old Business:

 

• Vote on bylaws changes – Diane Neal
  • Diane discussed the role and function of the current role of the Professional Forum.
  • Unanimous vote to approve the changes to the bylaws.
  • Diane will send out announcement informing the entire library staff about the approved changes.
  • These changes will begin January 2005.

 

New Business:

• Conferences/Workshops Attended
  • Educause – Marie Irwin & Karen Hopkins
    • Discussed Marcus Buckingham’s presentation at Educause.
  • Educause – Gerald Saxon
    • Related Bob Samson’s experience at the Napster workshop at Educause.

 

Announcements:

 

• Brad Gulliford – Antoinette and he are working to bring an internet/video conference demonstrating resources in the sciences.
• Sarah Jones – Web Access Committee (WAC) will be having their first meeting Monday, November 1, 2004.
