Re-Designed UTA Libraries Website
The Libraries unveiled it's re-designed Website on Friday, June 18.  Please note the new URL is http://library.uta.edu/Main/home.uta  If you experience difficulty navigating the re-designed site, contact me at 817-272-7519 or at howser@uta.edu, I'll be happy to assist you.  Currently, the University's web site does not link to the Libraries re-designed web site, so be sure to bookmark the URL above so you can start navigating our site.

Reserves (Print & Electronic)
To Place course work and/or homework assignment on Reserves, or contact Donna Kelley @ ext. 2-1418 or dkelley@uta.edu for assistance.

RefWorks https://www.refworks.com/Refworks/login.asp?WNCLang=false
Don't forget about RefWorks, the
Online Personal Database and Bibliography Creator.  It is a Web-based bibliography and database manager.  Let me know if you would like more information regarding its use and how to use it.   Faculty across campus who have already used it, really like it.  I'm sure you will as well.  If you know someone on the Student Congress, tell them thanks for making it possible.   The Student Congress paid for most of the subscription/license for the next three years.

Down Memory Lane
Remember to submit book request to either Dr. Spindler as the department library representative or me, as the library liaison.  Suggestions may be submitted in various formats, such as: marked-up printed catalogs, fliers, email notifications, and/or the online suggest-a-book-form.

Library Instruction
Fall Semester is around the corner, as if I had to remind you.  But what you need to remember is to contact me as soon as possible to schedule Library Research instruction classes for the courses you will be teaching.   Students need to know how to find "stuff" in the library and how to do research and not be totally dependent on Google.  Again, here is my contact info: 817-272-7519 or at howser@uta.edu

Ingenta (http://www.uta.edu/library/cgi/db-ingenta.cgi)
If the Libraries do not have an article you need, Ingenta may be the solution.   The Libraries'  per article subsidy has increased to $50.00.   For more information or assistance, contact me @ howser@uta.edu or call me at ext. 2-7519.
