Engineering
Village 2 database has some exciting new enhancements:
Engineering Village 2
provides
access to Compendex, Scirus (web site abstracts), U.S. and European
patent databases, CRC Press handbooks, and industry specs and
standards. New features include the following:
The “Easy Search”
tab consists of a
single 'Google-like’ search box, which connects to the Compendex
database. The list of results is accompanied by
a sidebar that allows you to refine searches
further by author, controlled vocabulary terms, publisher, etc.
By
default, Compendex sorts search results by "relevance." You can
also re-sort search results by date, author, source, or publisher.
Other resources linked through Engineering Village 2 (including IHS Standards, GlobalSpec, Scirus, USPTO, etc.) can now be accessed via a list of “More Search Sources.” This appears at the bottom left side of the Quick Search and Expert Search search screens.
