This year the Program Committee has made arrangements with the Marriott Houston Hobby Airport Hotel at 9100 Gulf Freeway, in southeast Houston, for special member rates. The hotel is ideally situated between Hobby Airport and San Jacinto Battleground.
The hotel has spacious accommodations with 25 inch remote control TV, clock and radio, hair dryer, coffee maker, iron and ironing board, two 2-line phones with voice mail and data ports, High Speed Internet access and all rooms are non-smoking and ADA accessible. The hotel provides free parking as well as complimentary transportation to and from Hobby Airport seven days a week.
A block of rooms has been reserved for Texas Map Society
members at the rate of $95 per day plus 17% tax. You will need to
arrange for your own reservations with the Marriott Houston Hobby by
contacting the hotel’s reservation department at 713-943-7979. Be
sure to identify yourself as a member of the Texas Map Society.
Reservations may be cancelled up to 24 hours prior to arrival without
penalty. Check-in begins at 3:00 p.m. and checkout is at 12:00 noon. As
always, you are responsible for making your own reservations and for
payment.
PLEASE NOTE THAT THERE WILL BE NO TMS MEMBER MEETINGS AT THE HOTEL. Consequently, you will need a car for transportation to and from the TMS events. See Event locations & Directions for map of hotel location in Houston.
