Endowments

Establishing an endowment fund provides the Libraries with permanent, long-term support for programs and collections. Endowment assets are invested and each year a portion of the value of the fund is paid out to support the fund's purpose.

Donors are able to determine how they want their investment earnings to be used according to their interests. For example, some current endowments support:

  • Enrichment of UTA's Special Collections (Texas history and rare books)
  • Acquisition of cartographic materials
  • Development of significant atlas and map collections
  • Materials about Hispanic Americans for the Libraries' multicultural collection

Endowments can be made from:

  • a one-time gift
  • pledge over a period of time
  • or a planned gift.
