The Advocates for Disability and Accessibility Committee (ADAC) at UTA Libraries is dedicated to promoting access to library resources and services for all patrons, including those with disabilities. Our mission is to create an environment that fosters awareness, education, and collaboration to enhance universal design and accessibility within UTA Libraries.

The Associates of the Faculty Executive Committee is responsible for discussing policies and issues related to the AFC and to advise the chair of AFC.

The promotion committee developed and revises the policy which governs promotion from assistant to associate librarian/archivist or from associate to senior librarian/archivist.

This committee actively promotes a culture of recognition and appreciation by recognizing those who contribute substantially to group or individual efforts or achievements.

This annual event showcases the art, books, juried exhibits, music, media, patents, and journal contributions of UTA faculty. The committee organizes and implements a campus-wide reception, display of works, and accompanying website.

The Guiding Principles Committee is a group of Libraries Staff who are a passionate about incorporating the guiding principles in how we and our colleagues do work. The Libraries' Guiding Principles are: We care. We empower. We take ownership. We are extraordinary.

To help UTA Libraries become a more environmentally sustainable organization, this committee encourages improvements such as those outlined by the UTA Green Office Program: recycling, purchasing recycled products, reducing paper consumption, etc.

This council was created to increase communication and transparency within the Libraries by providing a way for department representatives to regularly share information directly with the Dean of Libraries.

Open Access Week is an international event celebrated by libraries and universities around the world. This committee plans and implements a series of presentations, panel discussions, workshops, and information sessions.
