The Advocates for Disability and Accessibility Committee (ADAC) is dedicated to promoting access to library resources and services for all patrons, including those with disabilities. Our mission is to create an environment that fosters awareness, education, and collaboration to enhance universal design and accessibility.

This committee's goal is to effectively manage all resources and unique materials in a single platform. The Alma library management system helps to remove unnecessary silos and streamlines processes through a unified library experience.

The Associates of the Faculty Executive Committee is responsible for discussing policies and issues related to the AFC and to advise the chair of AFC.

The promotion committee developed and revises the policy which governs promotion from assistant to associate librarian/archivist or from associate to senior librarian/archivist.

The Automated Lending Working Group is charged with overseeing and providing strategic guidance on the implementation and management of automated lending services within the library, including the Lend-It and Compute-It machines, ensuring efficient operation, and addressing service-related issues with the vendor. The committee is also responsible for reviewing and recommending policies related to automated lending services.

This committee actively promotes a culture of recognition and appreciation by recognizing those who contribute substantially to group or individual efforts or achievements.

This annual event showcases the art, books, juried exhibits, music, media, patents, and journal contributions of UTA faculty. The committee organizes and implements a campus-wide reception, display of works, and accompanying website.

This council was created to increase communication and transparency within the Libraries by providing a way for department representatives to regularly share information directly with the Dean of Libraries.

When Virginia Garrett donated her extensive personal collection of maps, geography textbooks, and atlases, an endowment was established to promote its use by inviting scholars to speak on topics relating to the history of cartography. As a result, we host the biennial Virginia Garrett Lectures on the History of Cartography.
