Experiential Learning
Our goal is to establish national standards for incorporating maker literacies into cross-disciplinary, hands-on learning experiences.
FEATURED CURRICULUM
"The librarian provided me with specific and valuable advice and support during the planning stage for my maker assignments. The maker space staff could not have been more knowledgeable, patient, or encouraging while training…"
--Mark McCombs, University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill
The Institute of Museum and Library Services (IMLS) supports national leadership grants for libraries that enhance the quality of library and archive services nationwide by advancing theory and practice. The initial IMLS planning grant we received is allowing us to further test our emerging set of maker competencies with diverse college and university partners. We then plan to pursue an implementation grant to support broad dissemination and adaptation of the framework. Learn more about the planning grant.
