Open Access Week
Open Access Week is an international event celebrated by libraries and universities around the world. UTA Libraries joins them every October with a series of presentations, panel discussions, workshops, and information sessions on the whys and hows of Open Access.
It’s important to support Open Access for a number or reasons, including:
- The free, immediate, online availability of research articles.
- Ensures that anyone can access these results—to turn ideas into industries and breakthroughs into better lives.
- For the communication of research that fully utilizes the Internet for what it was originally built to do—accelerate research.
