Tail Waggin' Wednesday and Paws for Finals

student petting dogThe Libraries partners with a local nonprofit organization to bring registered therapy dogs into Central Library to help students decrease any stress and anxiety they may be experiencing. The pooches visit the first Wednesday of every month and during finals.

The program, one of the more popular in the Libraries, aligns with our strategic goal to respond to the social and emotional needs of our students. Spending time with a therapy dog has been show to reduce stress, lower blood pressure, and leave a person with a sense of happiness and well-being.
