UTA Libraries is excited to announce we have upgraded our database subscription from CINAHL (Cumulative Index to Nursing and Allied Health Literature) Complete to CINAHL Ultimate. CINAHL Ultimate will give students, faculty, and staff access to an additional 425 nursing journal titles. The Library Acquisitions team found that the cost savings of canceling individual subscriptions to 12 journals contained in Ultimate would allow for enough funds to cover the upgrade.

CINAHL Complete has consistently been UTA’s most used database, with more than 630,000 searches between September 2024 and August 2025. In addition to electronic journals, CINAHL also provides access to healthcare books, nursing dissertations, conference proceedings, standards of professional practice, educational software and audiovisual materials related to nursing and allied health professions.
