Hispanic Heritage Month Databases and Ebooks
First celebrated in the United States as a week-long event in 1968, Hispanic Heritage month is celebrated annually September 15th – October 15th. Hispanic Heritage Month begins on September 15th because it is the anniversary of independence for Costa Rica, El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras and Nicaragua. Mexico and Chile also celebrate their independence in September. The theme for Hispanic Heritage Month 2025 is Collective Heritage: Honoring the Past, Inspiring the Future.
