The fall semester officially kicked off Monday, Aug. 18, and Mavericks returned to campus with the energy that makes UTA come alive. The Central Library was buzzing with students exploring their favorite study spots, asking for directions, and diving into the excitement of a brand-new semester. That first-day spark is contagious and felt in every corner of our Libraries.

The Libraries' staff members matched that energy with warmth and dedication. Guiding new Mavericks to their classrooms, helping them discover resources, or simply offering a smile and a "welcome back" helped set the tone for the semester. For many students, that first interaction with a Libraries staff member is their first connection to UTA. The staff's kindness, expertise, and professionalism made all the difference.

Seeing how our teams come together during these whirlwind first weeks is always inspiring. From Access and Discovery to Research Services, from Community Engagement to behind-the-scenes support, every role contributes to creating an environment where students feel both supported and at home. Yes, it's hectic, but it's also joyful, proof of the incredible impact we have when we work together. Here's to a semester full of learning, connection, and a little library magic along the way.
