The Studios
The Studios are place for ideation and creation, providing opportunities to create digital art, develop novel technologies, and craft audio and video projects. Want to learn more about all that we offer? You can schedule an optional consultation with one of our knowledgeable students or full-time staff, whether it's for an academic or personal projects.

Sound Studio
Students can explore music and podcast production using industry-level equipment, three recording booths, and studio editing computers. Microphones, headphones, cables, instruments, and other gear are available to borrow, while Studio Macs include software for recording, editing, and mixing projects.
Photography Studio (CLOSED FOR RENOVATIONS)
Features flat white walls and a green screen backdrop for creative projects, along with three adjustable LED studio lights for customizable lighting and mood effects. Cameras, tripods, voice recording equipment, and more can be checked out from the Libraries with assistance from Studios staff.
Virtual Production Studio
Combines live-action footage with CGI in real time using a state-of-the-art pipeline featuring Unreal Engine and an eight-camera motion capture system with Captury Live software. It tracks movement without reflective suits, offering greater flexibility for projects such as visual effects and motion capture animation.
Print and Design Studio
Provides design support through workshops, consultations, and class integration. It includes two large-format printers for poster printing and other printing services for UTA faculty, staff, and students.
C.R.E.A.T. (Coding, Robotics, and Electronics at the) Studios
A multiuse space for programming, drones, robotics, and electronics, featuring four workstations for soldering and electronics projects. Raspberry Pi devices are available for loan, along with additional equipment such as multimeters, frequency analyzers and generators, and benchtop power supplies through Studios staff.
The Studios Collaborative Study Space
Includes 9 Dell Precision workstations and 9 M1 iMac desktops for student use, equipped with software such as Adobe Creative Cloud, Microsoft Office Suite, Audacity, Blender, DaVinci Resolve, and more.

- Studio Leads maintain the space and provide leadership and expertise while overseeing the Creative and Technical teams. They also lead workshops for students to get hands-on, project-based experience in various areas such as Graphic Design, App Design, Blender, and more.
- The Creative Team includes the Virtual Production Studios, Print and Design Center, and A/V Studios. This team aids students with creative digital media such as photography, videography, music production, graphic design, motion capture, 3D modeling, animation, and more. They provide consultations for teaching or demonstration.
- The Technical Team includes Tech Lending and the CREAT Studios. These students aid with coding, robotics/drones, app and web development, electronics, and other related topics. They provide consultations for teaching or demonstration.
