Interlibrary Loan Ordering Tips

Tired of filling out Interlibrary Loan request forms? Many items can be requested and the information transferred into the ILLiad request forms from other databases and complete the form for you.

WorldCat/FirstSearch

WorldCat/FirstSearch can be used for books, CDs, DVDs, and other returnable items.

On the page of the book you want, under Get This Item, select "Request this! (ILL Online)"

The Logon screen will appear.
Click on your account.

Click on text or call to get the verification code and then enter it on the enter code pop up screen.

When your logon is accepted, the request information will transfer to the ILLiad Book Request form.

Click on the Submit Request button at the bottom of the page.

 

If you do not close your ILLiad account, you can continue to research in other databases and not have to log in for each request.

Please close your ILLiad account when you are done with your research.

Article Request

Perform a search for your topic.

A search for “Happy” and limited by scholarly Journals has 55,175 records.

Number 1 does not display a pdf option for the article.

If you click on “Check for full text” it will link you to the UTA Libraries service page.

Clicking on the ‘Borrow this article from another library’ text will open ILLiad and populate the request when it is not available.

Note: you may need to log in. See steps above.

Add Notes (i.e.: Other languages ok, or Need copyright page) if needed and click on the Submit Request button at the bottom.

Please close your ILLiad account when you are done with your research.
