Before You Arrive
Identification
To help us maintain a safe environment, everyone must have a government issued photo ID to enter the libraries. You may need additional documentation to borrow or use materials. For more info, see Services for Guests and Types of Borrowers.
Schedule a Tour

Search for Resources
Before you arrive, use our all-in-one search at the top of the page to see if the resources you need are available. In addition to books and articles, your search results will include databases, subject guides, electronic resources, and website information.
Locations, Hours, and Parking
The Central Library is generally open 24 hours, but is restricted to only UTA students, faculty, and staff between midnight and 7:00 a.m. For current hours of all libraries, please see Locations and Hours.
Getting to Campus
The Central Library is in the center of campus with the other libraries nearby. Please see the UTA Campus Map for more information.
Visitor Parking
The most convenient parking for visitors is in the Maverick Parking Garage (708 S. West St.). For more information, please see UTA Visitor Parking.

Special Collections

Events and Exhibits
You may want to join us for a workshop in the FabLab, an exhibit in Special Collections, a faculty lecture in the Parlor, or a Friends of the Libraries event. See our Events Calendar or Exhibits for more information.
Visitor Borrowing Privileges

Places to Eat
The Central Library includes an Einstein Bros. Bagels on the first floor and a convenience market on the 2nd floor. Several more options are available within walking distance. See Campus Dining Locations for more information.
Things to Do
One of the most popular visitor destinations on campus, the UTA Planetarium, is behind the Central Library. You may also want to take a campus tour, visit the UTA Bookstore, or stay for a concert, lecture, or athletic event.
