All War Forbidden By Christianity

In a Thanksgiving sermon, Rev. W.P. Tilden argues that war is in conflict with the principles of Christianity. He applies it to not just the Mexican War, but to all wars. He explains that there can be no such thing as a Christian war or fighting as a service to God. He argues against Christians who believe that war is proper and right under certain circumstances. He expresses his belief that Christians should only listen to the words of Jesus and provides several examples from the Bible that support an anti-war stance.
