Seat of War & Battles : General Ampudia

An imaginary image of General Ampudia of Mexico, from the large-scale chromolithographed broadside titled "The Seat of War and Battles." The border around his portrait portrays important Mexican symbolism including: the Mexican flag, the Mexican eagle with a snake in its beak, and a volcano (probably Popocatépetl).
