A colored lithograph map showing the positions of the Mexican and American troops (including artillery, infantry, and cavalry) on both banks of the Rio Bravo del Norte (Rio Grande colored blue) near the city of Matamoros. Created under the order of General Mejia by his field assistant Luis Berlandier. Listed near the center of the city of Matamoros are streets, roads, bridges, areas of dry land, Alemeda, fortin [fort] Paredes, and the Barrio de la Anacuita.
