Notes of the Mexican War: Capt. WM. F. Small, Co. C, First Regiment Pennsylvania Volunteers

A portrait print of Captain William F. Small, commander of Company C, First Regiment Pennsylvania Volunteers who served as part of General Winfield Scott's army during the Mexican American War. Author J. Jacob Oswandel enlisted under Captain Small in December 1846 and the volunteers participated in the Siege of Vera Cruz, the Battle of Cerro Gordo, the Siege of Puebla, and the occupation of Mexico City.
