A print of Major-General Winfield Scott, commander-in-chief of the U. S. Army during the Mexican American War. Author J. Jacob Oswandel served in one of the volunteer attachments to Scott's Army (Company C First Regiment Pennsylvania Volunteers under Captain William F.
