Notes of the Mexican War: Col., Thomas Childs

A print of Colonel Thomas Childs of the Third Artillery. Childs participated in the Battles of Palo Alto, Monterey, and Cerro Gordo, was appointed the Military Governor of Jalapa, commanded troops in the battle of Las Vegas, and participated in the siege of Puebla, he became governor of Puebla, and he negotiated the exchage of American and Mexican prisoners with General Rea.
