A print of a view of Chapultepec taken from the Southeast, showing the attack on the castle by the divisions of Generals Quitman and Shields on September 13, 1847. This print depicts the Castle of Chapultepec on the hill in the background beyond a cypress grove and soldiers battling at the foot of the hill. Oswandel visited the Castle on January 13, 1848 and later asked his friend Alburtus Welsh to make him a drawing of the Castle.
