Notes of the Mexican War: Alameda Park, City of Mexico

A print of the Alameda, a popular park in the City of Mexico frequented by U.S. occupation troops including Oswandel between January and May 1848. He describes it as a resort that was enlarged in 1593. This print depicts a large fountain in the center of a tree filled park that is surrounded by statues of liberty , and women and children fill the foreground.
