Also depicted are the locations of batteries on both sides of the river, Fort Paredes near the Ferry that crossed the river, the road that leads to Point Isabel, as well as the Head Quarters of General Taylor when he first arrived (to the left of the river) and after he took Matamoros (to the right of the river).
