Sketch of Country between Agua Nueva and La Punta and Encarnacion

An incomplete hand-drawn and annotated map of Mexico with estimated distances (in miles) between cities including: Buena Vista, Encantada, Encarnacion, Agua Nueva, La Punta, Saltillo, and more that are not easily legible. The map was extended with an additional scrap of paper by the mapmaker to include additional routes in the direction of Monterey. The map is oriented with North at the bottom, Agua Nueva in the center, Encarnacion at the top left, La Punta at the top right, and Monterey in the lower left of the attached paper. Additional annotations in pencil mark denote former battles in the area including the Battle of 1810, between Mexicans under Hidalgo and the Spaniards under Cordero, as well as the Battle of 1811, between Mexicans under Royon and Spaniards under Melgara.
