On October 1st, 2020, the Open Access Journal “Global Insight: A Journal of Critical Human Science and Culture” was launched by the UTA Libraries - Mavs Open Press. The first issue of “Global Insight” is now available through the OJS (Open Journal Systems), here.

“Global Insight” is  an undergraduate peer-reviewed research journal, and it’s a collaborative effort of the McDowell Center for Global Studies and UTA Libraries. 

Mavs Open Press has offered a place for those who are involved in the journal “Global Insight”, including authors or students, faculty, staff members, and librarians, to share resources, to find the best practices of the operation of the journal, and to provide support and networking to those individuals. 

The journal “Global Insight” has provided the students with a valuable professional opportunity to publish their scholarly works in the journal, which can make their scholarly works visible online. Those students have earned experience in academic publishing and engaged with research profoundly.
