FabLab
The Central Library FabLab is an 8,000-square-foot makerspace containing 3D printers, laser cutters, screen printers, kilns, sewing machines, and much more for learners from any discipline or experience level.
The UTA FabLab is the first MIT-affiliated FabLab in a university in Texas. It is a creative hub for students, faculty and staff, providing:
- access to technologies, equipment, training
- opportunities for interdisciplinary collaboration
- inspirational spaces in support of invention and entrepreneurship
Equipment and Materials
While FabLab staff has the knowledge for basic use of equipment, more advanced jobs might need the help of a technician or specialist. Sometimes we really push the bounds of our knowledge and try new and exciting things. We are always willing to learn the equipment along with you!

FabLab Student Assistant
FabLab Assistants provide training and oversight for various areas in the FabLab. If interested in open positions, you must fill out screening questions and apply through Handshake.com to be considered for any positions that may open up!
