Learn more about our spaces
We offer spaces and equipment for photography, videography, graphic design, music production, motion capture, coding, robotics, and more.
Spaces are available for walk-ins or in some cases via reservation.
Sound Studio
The Sound Studio is designed to allow students to explore music or podcast production with industry-level equipment. Three sound booths allow students to easily record high-quality audio with instruments and a computer for editing within the studio. The Studios lends equipment such as cables, headphones, and microphones for studio use. The Studio Macs includes a host of software for recording, editing and mixing your projects. We also offer some instruments as well as microphones and other equipment to support your work. See Tech Lending.
Photography Studio
In the the Photography Studio, you have a blank canvas with flat white walls upon which to snap your masterpiece. We include a green screen backdrop to let your creativity take you to new heights. Each room contains three LED studio lights for both illumination and mood effects. Each light’s color, temperature, and brightness can be adjusted to your specification. Cameras, tripods, voice recording equipment, and more can be checked out from the Libraries with the assistance of Studios staff. See Tech Lending.
Virtual Production Studio
The Virtual Production Studio features a state-of-the-art creation pipeline for mixing live-action elements with CGI in real-time, utilizing cutting edge tools such as Unreal Engine and an eight-camera Motion Capture system with Captury Live software. This system does not need the traditional black suits with reflective balls on them to track your movement, giving more flexibility to its users and how you can use the space for your projects. The studio can be used for activities such as visual effects and motion capture animation.
