The UTA Fall 2023 Student Employment Job Fair took place at the Bluebonnet Ballroom in the E.H. Hereford University Center, providing students with on and off-campus job opportunities.

Many students attended this event and brought their resumes, talked to the people from departments across the university, and learned about available jobs and their responsibilities.

Among the booths featured at the event included UTA Libraries, the Career Development Center, the Office of International Education, Tutoring, Nursing and Engineering.

Jessica Williams, a UTA Libraries staff member, was one of the two people on hand to talk to job candidates and answer questions. She was excited when many people showed up to ask her about various roles within the library.

Jessica wants people to know more about the library, its departments, and what it offers to the UTA community.

Each booth had several swag items they gave away to prospective employees, such as stationery, cups, stickers, chocolates, and a special booth where they could also take portfolio pictures.

"I never realized how many job openings existed within our university," Pavan Innamuri, a new graduate student, said. "Chatting with the representatives gave me insights into positions I never knew were available."

The UTA Fall 2023 Student Employment Job Fair was a great way for students to explore on-campus job opportunities and gain valuable hands-on experience to help them prepare for their future careers.

We at UTA Libraries were happy to showcase our employment opportunities. However, if you were unable to attend the Aug. 24 career fair, you can check out the job listings online at https://uta.joinhandshake.com. We look forward to seeing your application soon.
