The UTA Libraries are partnering with the Computer Science Engineering Department and the College of Nursing and Health Innovation to design and implement a virtual reality simulation project for nursing students.  The goal of the project is two-fold:  1) Provide CSE students with the hands-on opportunity to build virtual reality software to fill an immediate need.  2)  Provide nursing students with training to care for palliative care patients in many settings.  In addition, the project offers nursing students a platform to learn soft skills like empathy and compassion in a safe environment while also gaining health literacy skills.   The project is currently in its second phase and will continue until completed and implemented.
