I would like to introduce Andrew Doyle, new Social Events Coordinator for the University of Texas at Arlington Libraries! He joins us from the Arlington Public Library, where he worked for about one year.

A young man wearing pink cat-ear headphone smiles at the camera, holding up two fingers in a peace symbol.

Alexandra Pirkle (AP): As a way of introducing yourself in this current environment, what piece of media (book/movie/TV show/album/etc.) would you say best represents yourself? Why?

Andrew Doyle (AD): Anything by Kim Petras (my favorite singer). Her Clarity album is *chef’s kiss* so good.

AP: What three words best describe your personal aesthetic (e.g. cozy, eclectic, whimsical, vintage, etc.)?

AD: My personal aesthetic varies based on my mood. However generally I like to think it's a soft gamer aesthetic (but make it fashion). Also metaphysical chic (crystals). I love pastel pink anything.

AP: What makes you most excited to work for UTA Libraries?

AD: I am most excited to connect with students and create a fun atmosphere for them to engage with the services we offer. I love community-building and cannot wait to see what we can do for the students.

AP: What is something about you that others would be surprised to know?

AD: I am an Eagle Scout. Nobody believes me when I tell them.

Thank you, Andrew! We are excited to have you on board.
