Alexandra Pirkle (AP): As a way of introducing yourself in this current environment, what piece of media (book/movie/TV show/album/etc.) would you say best represents yourself? Why?

David Keeton (DK): The video game that I have logged the most hours playing is Kerbal Space Program, an aerospace simulation game where you lead a space program populated with little minion-like helpers that you attempt to send on increasingly complex missions to explore their solar system. I feel this represents me well in that the point of the game is to explore, learn, and create challenges for yourself constantly, but having fun along the way is just as important.

AP: What three words best describe your personal aesthetic (e.g. cozy, eclectic, whimsical, vintage, etc.)?

DK: Laid-back, Curious, Efficient.

AP: What makes you most excited to work for UTA Libraries?

DK: I’m excited to be a part of a unique learning environment and to do my part bring new and exciting experiences to the UTA community.

AP: What is something about you that others would be surprised to know?

DK: I earned a 1st degree blackbelt from the World Taekwondo Federation.

Thank you, David! We are excited to have you on board as a full-time employee.
