Meet Sarah Brooks, New UTA Libraries Administrative Manager of Personnel Services

I would like to introduce Sarah Brooks, new Administrative Manager of Personnel Services of the University of Texas at Arlington Libraries. She comes to us from the UT System Administration Office of Shared Information Services and has nine years of experience in human resources.

Alexandra Pirkle (AP): As a way of introducing yourself in this current environment, what piece of media (book/movie/TV show/album/etc.) would you say best represents yourself? Why? 

Sarah Brooks (SB): Alice in Wonderland. She is fun and adventurous but also doesn’t take lip from people. She is particular about things and likes them a certain way. She is independent and really loves cake.

AP: What three words best describe your personal aesthetic (e.g. cozy, eclectic, whimsical, vintage, etc.)? 

SB: Casual, Cozy, and Comfortable.

AP: What makes you most excited to work for UTA Libraries? 

SB: I am most excited about the culture and community of the UTA Libraries.

AP: What is something about you that others would be surprised to know?

SB: I have ridden in a hot air balloon! It was a tethered ride but it was an incredible experience. I cannot wait to take a full hot air balloon ride someday!
